Turns out Beyonce's birthday is not just a celebration for the singer, but for the whole music industry. The No. 1 bow by her second solo album, "B'Day," also signals the first time in four months that album sales beat those of the comparable 2005 sales week.
Released Sept. 5, the day after her 25th birthday, it opens with 541,000 copies, 59 percent more than the 317,000 first-week sales that greeted her first solo album, "Dangerously in Love," in 2003.

Despite rumors to the contrary, Beyoncé’s second solo album, “B’Day,” is still scheduled for release on Sept. 5, according to the singer’s father and manager, Mathew Knowles.
Some reports had suggested Knowles wanted to delay the album’s release to work on it some more.
He also denied speculation of a conflict between his daughter and fellow R&B singer Rihanna, as well as reports that Beyoncé released her single, “Deja Vu,” to compete with former Destiny’s Child bandmate LeToya Luckett’s self-titled solo debut...

BEYONCE KNOWLES' new single CHECK IT OUT has been blamed for an outbreak of epileptic fits in British television viewers. The video, which contains a multitude of flashing images, caused a stir after it was aired without an appropriate warning by cable channel Chart Show TV. After an investigation by broadcasting standards regulator Ofcom, network staff were ordered to undergo retraining to ensure the situation never happens again. Beyonce Knowles taking her mom out for a late Italian dinner at a fancy Manhattan restaurant yesterday. Needless to say Beyonce was looking mighty fine, although you probably could have seen that one coming without the pictures.
