The Killers New Album Sam's Town Due October

The Killers have revealed details of their upcoming second album, which is out this Autumn.

'Sam's Town' will be the follow-up to the breakthrough album 'Hot Fuss' and will be released in the UK on October 2nd.

The first single to be taken from the Las Vegas bands new album will be 'When You Were Young' and is set for release on September 18th.

New tracks expected to be ready for the eagerly awaited album include the title track 'Sam's Town', 'Read My Mind', 'Bones', 'Uncle Johnny Did Cocaine' as well as the first single. The track listing for the album is yet to be revealed.

Speaking about the album earlier this year, frontman Brandon Flowers described the album as the best of the last 20 years.

He said: "We just have to make the best album that we can. And we're doing it. This album is one of the best albums in the past 20 years."

"There's nothing that touches this album. And that sounds like I'm being cocky, but I'm just so excited."

The band have been making the follow-up to Hot Fuss' with reknowned producers Flood and Alan Moulder.

Other tracks rumoured to be included on the album are 'Where The White Boys Dance', 'For Reasons Unknown' and 'My Lists'.

The Killers 2004 debut album 'Hot Fuss' has reportedly sold over 5 million copies worldwide.
